SILO has won a Wood Pencil for the Rijksmuseum Boerhaave logo. The winners of the prestigious prizes were announced during the D&AD Awards Ceremony on Thursday April 26, 2018, in London.
Since 1962, the British D&AD (Design and Art Direction) Awards have been presented to the previous year’s very best creative work from around the world. There are 28 categories, from Packaging to Music Videos and from Book Design to Digital Marketing. SILO won in the Branding category.
The versatile visual identity for Rijksmuseum Boerhaave emphasizes research, experiment and the scientific perspective. Two overlapping mathematical shapes form the robust logo. The space where they intersect allows for a variety of visual experiments, casting new light on a variety of themes.
In 2017, the healing environment SILO designed for Zaans Medical Center was awarded a Yellow Pencil.
